PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS BLOG.

ALL of the lotteries, draws, compensation schemes, inheritances, work at home offers and business proposals that you receive by email or in the post ARE SCAMS.
NO ORGANISATION ANYWHERE EVER holds random email draws. They are ALL SCAMS. You CANNOT WIN a lottery or prize draw that you HAVE NOT ENTERED.
Please don't post comments asking me if the scams you have received are real. I can't answer them all and you KNOW they are scams!

A victim’s tale

This story has been posted as a comment by a reader.  Usually I leave the comments where they are, but I thought this was too important so I have copied it as a post.

Although the tone of this blog is lighthearted I am fully aware that these scams are serious.  My hope is that this blog will help prevent more people from falling victim to the scammers.  This is the story of a reader who, sadly, learned the hard way.
