Scammers and Phishers

The reader who sent me this scam, commented that the Rev Muse sounds like a love sick puppy.  Please don’t fall for this scam.  You will be sent a false cheque for $10k.  As soon as you have deposited it and sent $10k to the scammer, the original cheque will be withdrawn and you will be $10k poorer with no way of recovering your money.  Delete this email and don’t reply.

A A Flockhart writes to tell me s/he is the “Chief Executive Officer” of the HSBC.  Strangely enough this was sent by mgochber@kent.edu.  Kent University’s website tells me it “is ranked by the Carnegie Foundation among the nation’s top 77 public research universities”.  Maybe M Gochber is undertaking research on phishing?

Sadly Kent joins the growing list of educational institutions around the world whose students are not keep occupied enough in their studies.

About half an hour before I received this email, I received another one from “AA Flockhart” telling me he was a chief executive officer with HSBC.  Do you suppose they sacked him and he was offered another job by the Hang Seng Bank in the meantime??  No.  Neither do I.  He’s just a scammer.  A scammer who can’t even decide which story to tell.  

Delete the email and don’t reply.
