PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS BLOG.
ALL the lotteries, draws, compensation schemes, inheritances, payment agent or mystery shopper jobs and business proposals offering huge sums of money are SCAMS. You CAN'T WIN a lottery or prize draw you HAVEN'T ENTERED.
Please don't post comments asking if the SCAMS you have received are real.
PLEASE DON'T LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS IN A COMMENT ASKING SCAMMERS TO CONTACT YOU (yes, people really do this regularly!)
Did this “attorney” send me a registered, official letter with my name on? No. Yet he claims his deceased client shared my name. He feels that sending me a random email claiming he has millions of dollars to send me sounds official enough to make me reply.
On your bike, mate.
“Richard Hung” is a scammer. He certainly isn’t an attorney and he has no idea what my last name is – or yours [Continue reading Kindly Reply Immediately.]
This little gem comes with an attachment named Facebook-password-47423.zip. I have no idea what is in the attachment, but I’m willing to bet it’s something nasty. Don’t make the mistake of opening it to find out. No-one sends you a new password as an attachment. DO NOT OPEN THIS ATTACHMENT.
If you think there might be a problem with your facebook account, ALWAYS enter the address of facebook directly into your browser. If you’ve [Continue reading Facebook Password Reset Confirmation! Customer Message.]
A reader forwarded me this scam, with the comment that the scammer couldn’t “decide if he’s a thief or Lothario!”
I’d just say that it’s a shame that someone who claims to be a high ranking member of the Bank of Scotland can’t actually speak English properly!
If you really think that anyone is going to send you multi millions of pounds then you really need to think again. All this scammer wants to [Continue reading Attention]
A reader sent me this scam. She commented that she felt sorry for the real Cindy Crawford.
I hope you can see straight away that this is a scam. Why would anyone write to you from a gmail address, address you as “Dear Participant” and tell you that, magically, they have discovered £6m that belongs to you?
The answer to that question is simple. They wouldn’t. This is a scammer who is hoping you [Continue reading RefOnAtTz]
This scam was forwarded to me by a reader who suggested that “we should urgently turn him down”.
Yes folks, all these fake loan agencies are just scams. No legitimate loan agency sends out random emails offering to lend you large amounts of money.
If you make the mistake of replying you will find yourself being asked to send money for fees. There is no loan. There is [Continue reading URGENT LOAN OFFER…APPLY NOW..]
Clearly this scammer had a lot of times on his/her hands. I couldn’t be bothered to read all of this scam email. But I’m sure you know that no-one is going to send you a bank card which allows you to draw $5k a day for no good reason. I’m sure you aren’t really expecting $11m.
If you make the mistake of replying to this email you will find a [Continue reading SOUTH AFRICAN ATM SWIFT CARD CENTER]
This was sent to me by a reader. It seems my reader replied to an initial scam email telling her she had won $1.7m. Fortunately she understood this was a scam and she has forwarded me the scammer’s reply and some very badly put together “official” documents which are supposed to prove the scam is a genuine win.
I’ve added the documents at the bottom of this post. Notice that in the second one, [Continue reading FW: WINNING PRIZE APPROVED FOR PAYMENT FOR USD$1.7M( ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATE DOLLARS ONLY).]
This scammer seems to think that Nigeria should be “removed from the World’s scam list as one of the world’s hottest scam region”. He seems to think that the way to do this is by sending me a scam email offering me compensation.
Do you want to guess where this email was sent from? Go on, have a go? I bet you didn’t get it. I bet you said “Nigeria”. Wrong – this email [Continue reading Good Day]
This scammer tells me he needs an agent to help him transfer millions of pounds to my country. Clearly he has no idea who he is writing to – last time I looked I was living in the UK!
Just ignore “Mr Webster”. He doesn’t work for the Bank of Scotland – who are large, reputable bank and quite capable of transferring money to anywhere in the world without my help, or yours.
If [Continue reading Call me if you receive this mail.]
A reader in the USA forwarded me this scam. She commented that “Luckily” she has a sense of humour. As, apparently, did Mr/Ms Nelson’s parents when they named their infant prodigy.
James William isn’t in Japan and he has no intention of sending you money. He wants you to send him money – he’s a thief who wants to steal your hard earned cash.
Dear beloved friend, I am glad to inform [Continue reading Contact My Secretary Mr. Luckily Nelson]
